Heat Loving Yellow Groundcover
- Yellow Needle Shaped Foliage
- Cold, Heat, and Drought Hardy Sedum
- Attracts Butterflies
Love color? Hate weeds? Want a layered look in your garden? Need to soften a rock wall, or flagstone garden path? Looking for a cute “spiller” in your container garden?
Ok, listen up! Angelina Sedum (Sedum rupestre ‘Angelina’) is your problem solver. This vigorous little groundcover quickly forms a 6 inch mat that will crowd out weeds.
Angelina has brilliant, needle-shaped, golden yellow foliage. It is also a great butterfly and bee attractor and is disease resistant. It does well in a gritty soil or in a pot with its trailing habit.
First developed in a private garden in Croatia, Angelina prefers well drained soil and to be kept on the dry side. Plant it in full sun in well-drained soil. It will tolerate most soil types and is drought resistant.
The foliage will turn orange in autumn. This is a great choice for beds and borders and make excellent cut flowers.
Use this sedum in a container on a hot deck. It will not mind missing a watering or two throughout the seasons!
