Purple Spikes All Year
The Veronica ‘Eveline’, ‘Veronica longifolia ‘Eveline’ USPP 14888, is one of the newer Veronicas available today. This easy to grow perennial has purplish-pink flower spikes that bloom throughout June to September. The deep green foliage turns a beautiful purple-red in the fall. Truly gorgeous!
‘Eveline’ must have good drainage and requires low to moderate watering. For best results plant this Veronica in full sun. This plant is easy to grow in sunny gardens, drawing pollinators and hummingbirds far and wide.
Deadheading promotes more blooms, so keep it re-blooming by prune off old flower spikes as they fade. New growth will begin and in a few weeks new flower spikes will emerge.
If you are looking for a showy perennial that produces gorgeous, purplish-pink flowers for a long period, then this plant is it! Use this plant in containers or in mass plantings.
This Veronica is deer resistant and does attract hummingbirds and butterflies. It is heat and cold tolerant.
