The Petunia Supertunia® Royal Velvet, Petunia hybrids ‘Supertunia® Royal Velvet ‘ (PP13887), is brilliant in color and very low maintenance. The ‘Supertunia® Royal Velvet ‘ has beautiful purple flowers and is a vigorously trailing species of a long-living petunia from Australia.
This petunia will provide long-term color in full sun areas throughout the season, and can grow nearly an inch a day. ‘Supertunia® Royal Velvet ‘ is ideal for baskets, beds, balconies and combination plantings.
Supertunias are very heat and drought tolerant once established, and late in July and August is when ‘Supertunia® Royal Velvet ‘ plants should be at their best, so make sure they get ample moisture and fertilizer to continue with their gorgeous purple flowering; low maintenance plant.
Mix with other colorful petunias and this will add light and contrast to your containers or flower beds!
For zones 9-11, this plant can also be a perennial.
